FOR SALE MARES FOALS STALLIONS
WELCOME TO CHANNING QUARTER HORSES
We live on top of a mountain! We are about 1400’ above sea level on the Eppynt in mid-Wales. Horses have to be tough to live here, but Quarter horses are equal to the task.  We are small breeders aiming to produce a few quality foals per year – bred for first class temperament, confirmation and pedigree together with intelligence & versatility. We have spent many hours looking for the right breeding stock to fit our programme from American bred Quarter Horses, some were imported in-foal to American bred Stallions. We are determined to produce a horse that is genuine, willing and easily trained that is suitable for any discipline, in fact, the complete all rounder and family horse.
I (Caroline) have at long last achieved my final ambition in life – owning a Quarter Horse. I was brought up with horses and spent a good few years involved with Thoroughbreds. It wasn’t until I went to Australia as a ‘Jillaroo’ that I discovered the American Quarter Horse. A black stallion called ‘Lightning’. I had never experienced anything like him before, so soft & responsive, but he could really move. When I returned to the UK, I looked into buying a Quarter Horse of my own, but at that time they were as rare as hens teeth and very expensive. Little did I realise that I would have to wait nearly 25 years before accomplishing this dream.

Our horses are definitely part of our family. We try & find good homes for our quality prospects and we endeavour to sell our foals & youngstock at what we consider to be a very fair & competitive price matching market conditions. We are building a reputation for our honesty and customer satisfaction is extremely important to us.
